らくはく【落魄】

reduced circumstances. [＝れいらく]

～する be reduced to poverty; be in reduced circumstances; sink in one's fortunes; descend in the social scale.

●落魄した人 a ruined man [woman]; a man [woman] of fallen fortune

・落魄している have come down in the world; be down and out; be in reduced circumstances.

●落魄の身である be in reduced circumstances

・落魄の身を恥じる be ashamed that one has come down in the world [fallen into reduced circumstances]

・落魄のうちに死ぬ die in obscurity.
